The Damn Liars

From northern California, Chuck Bradley and The Damn Liars have built their name the old-fashioned way: one explosive live show at a time. Whether they are playing large outdoor festivals or small intimate venues, the band brings a raw, undeniable stage presence and an energy that pulls the audience in from the first note.

Rooted in vintage American rock and roll, country, and blues, The Damn Liars deliver a sound that feels both timeless and hard-earned. Fronted by songwriter Chuck Bradley, the band has shaped a distinct identity around grit, melody, and storytelling, creating music that connects as powerfully on record as it does onstage.

That journey continues with War Pony, released on 3/27/26. Self-produced and recorded at Peach City Sound Studio in Marysville, California, and Tricone Studio in Berlin, Germany, the album captures where The Damn Liars are now: seasoned, confident, and still pushing their sound forward without losing the grit that got them here.

Along the way, The Damn Liars continued to build momentum with a run of singles, including “Bad Feeling,” “Could Be Better Could Be Worse,” “Lone Wolf,” “Heavy Stones,” “I’m Coming Home,” “Keep Smilin,” “Modern Day Primitive Man,” “One Way Out,” “Quarantine,” and “The Hard Way.” Each release added another chapter to the band’s evolution and reinforced their commitment to honest, roots-driven rock and roll.

That foundation carried into the 2022 EP Fools Gold, a release that marked an important artistic step forward for Bradley as a songwriter. Intended to be heard as a complete story from beginning to end, the record deepened the band’s narrative voice while expanding the emotional range of their sound.

The story began with the debut EP American Ghost Town, released in April 2018. Produced by Grammy Award winner Michael Rosen, the record introduced the band’s soulful blues vocals, honky-tonk spirit, and straightforward take on the heavier themes of love, life, hurt, and death.

Review of the song Don't Give in Now
The Damn Liars explore powerful themes of hope and resilience in their closing track on the War Pony album "Don't Give In Now". Swampy acoustic guitars form the backdrop for lead singer Chuck Bradley's gritty, soulful vocals on this inspirational blues-based Southern rock ballad. Loose, parade-style drums lay down a steady backbeat along with tambourine and shaker, contributing to a relaxed down-home groove that's highlighted by bottle-neck slide and chiming mandolin. Its uplifting message and rootsy acoustic sound should help The Damn Liars' "Don't Give In Now" resonate with both country music and Southern rock fans alike.

Review of I'm Coming Home (Berlin)

The Damn Liars' sixth track on the new War Pony album, "I'm Coming Home(Berlin)," is a true gem that embodies raw authenticity and heartfelt emotion. This whiskey-soaked blend of country-edged blues rock pulls you in from the first note, wrapping you in a rich tapestry of sound. The crunchy rhythm guitars lay down an infectious groove, perfectly complemented by the soulful organ that adds depth and warmth—a beautiful nod to gospel influences.

"I'm Coming Home" is a powerful testament to The Damn Liars' exceptional talent—definitely a must-listen for anyone who appreciates the essence of country-blues rock!

“In short, the April 2nd 2026 performance of The Damn Liars at De Muziekzolder Maasdijk was a convincing and authentic musical experience, characterized by passion, energy and a strong connection with the audience.” - Johan Sonneveld; from the first show of the Lairs Family Reunion Tour.

"Their (The Damn Liars) music evokes mid-century, American working-class rock--straightforward lyrics, uncomplicated guitar riffs and incredibly well written songs."
